Hi

It is so hard to update two web blogs.  So, this one kinda gets neglected.  You can find more recent updates on my myspace site, chica9181.  I just posted on there today, so I don't want to repeat everything on here, sorry.  Everything is going well with Derek and I.  I hope you are all doing well.  Love ya

Ok, so I haven't written in almost a year.  We were so busy with the wedding and then with moving and finding a job.  It has been a crazy year.  Derek and I got married August 6, 2005.  It was a perfect wedding on the shores of Lake Erie.  If you want to see some pictures just go to www.kimandderek.com.  We went to Saint Maarten for our honeymoon. It was amazing.  We went on 10 dives and saw a lot of ocean creatures.  My favorite was the sea turtles and giant manta ray.  My favorite dive was the last dive on the French side.  We were constantly going over and under reefs.  It was beautiful.  You would look up and see the ocean crashing against the shore 85 feet above you.  We rode some horses on the beach and took a swim with them.  We took a kayak through simpson bay lagoon and into the ocean on the french side.  That was a lot harder than I expected it to be.  We went to a few expensive french restraunts for dinner.  They sweep your table after each course with a mini vacuum cleaner.
Derek and I are living in Evanston right now.  It is just north of Chicago. We were spoiled living in New Mexico.  We're not used to the cold and the traffic.  I never used to have road rage, but with so many people you are bound to run into dumb drivers, and they just drive me crazy.
Anyways, I'm getting tired of typing, so I am going to get going.

So, I haven't written in a long time.  Nothing is new, really.  I have been substitute teaching, which sucks.  I have been doing research at the physics department.  I get to start some new things on Monday.
I have been wedding planning.  I finally got the bridesmaid dresses picked out.  I am heading to Chicago in May to make the wedding invitations.  Then I will be going home for Heather's Graduation Party.  Congratulations Heather, I am so proud of you.
So, I have been working out for 3 weeks, 4 days a week for an hour and 45 minutes, but I feel like I am getting fatter.  I stopped drinking pop.  I rarely eat desert, and I don't eat unhealthy foods.  So, why am I getting fatter instead of skinnier.  My friends say it is because I am at that age, but whatever, I should still be loosing weight if I am working out and eating healthy.
Oh, visit my wedding website.  www.kimandderek.com it is cool and you should check it out.
I finished all 5 Harry Potter Books.  It took me about 3 weeks to read 4 books. I read the first one over the summer.  Anyways, I was pretty proud of myself.
Ok, I am going to get going.  have a good nite

Grrr... I have been getting these headaches every day.  They are really starting to drive me crazy.  I wake up with them, I go to bed with them, occasionally during the day they will leave me alone, but not for long.  I have no idea what is causing them either.  Its not stress, its not tension, and my doctor says its not a migrain, but it sure feels like it.
Anyways, enough about my boring headaches.  I am back in New Mexico.  I started substitute teaching.  I taught 2nd grade on Thursday and Friday.  Boy those kids wear me out.  I come home with a sore throat and feeling exhausted.  They can be funny though.  On Thursday I wore this sweater that has that inside out look to it, and one of the girls said "Ms. Syers, your shirt is inside out".  I had to show her the tag was on the inside for her to believe me.  This other girl asked me how old I was, and when I told her 23 she says "Oh, I thought you where 15".  Isn't that sweet :)  Then there is this little boy that is very smart for a New Mexico kid (there isn't a very good education system here). He hands me a rock and says "Is this Medamorphic, Igneous, or Sedimentary?"  I wish Derek was there because I had no idea, it actually looked like a piece or concrete to me.
I am supposed to start working for Dr. Kanim doing Education research.  He can only pay me for 10 hours a week, which sucks.  This means I have to teach during the day, and do research in the afternoon.  It is going to be hard.  Plus, I plan on selling some of my crafts, cards, bookmarks, etc.  at the farmers market on saturdays.  So, I am not going to have time for anything with all this work.
Monday was my brother's birthday, HAPPY BIRTHDAY NATE.  I am so proud of him :)  My mom has surgery on wednesday to get rid of a tumor that has some nerves wrapped around it in her face.  It is kind of scary, but I am confident that there won't be any problems with the surgery.  Pray for her though.
Have a good week everyone :)

Wow, it has been a very busy few weeks.  I went home for Thanksgiving and had a lot to do.  We had to put Bigfoot to sleep the Monday before thanksgiving.  It was one of the worst things I have ever had to do.  Heather and Nate where very upset and couldn't stay in the room, but I didn't want Bigfoot to be by himself so I stayed with him.  I just kept telling him that I was sorry and that we all loved him.  I tried to tell him Heather loved him because I thought he would feel comforted hearing her name.  I miss him.
Thanksgiving was good.  There where no big fights or people complaining about other people.
Heather and I went and looked at bridesmaid dresses.  It was hard to find a dress I liked because Heather is so freakin' skinny, and the dresses were all a size 10, 10 sizes too big for Heather.  There were some nice ones though.
My dad and sister are coming to town tomorrow.  I am cleaning like mad.  I took a break though that is lasting a little too long. :)
Well, I better get going, I'll let you know how graduation and Olivia's wedding go.
Love you guys
